- <p> Before she descends into columbine-collecting madness, Shakespeare's
- Ophelia is a sweet-tempered, obedient girl, the sort who wouldn't,
- for example, even think of behaving untowardly on live TV. So
- it will be interesting to see how SINEAD the-pop-star-who-doth-protest-too-much
- O'CONNOR manages in her role as Elsinore's docile damsel in
- an upcoming Dublin production of Hamlet. With luck, she'll take
- on the Bard more successfully than she plays bard. Last week
- an Irish newspaper ran a Sinead poem that reads, "Stop hurting
- me please./ Saying mean things about me." Fine. Write better.
